On the 23rd of November 2016, the LDA team participated in the “Info Day and Training Day Erasmus+ 2016” in Trieste, organised by Eurodesk and the Italian National Agency (ANG) in partnership with the Council of Trieste. Italian EVS accredited NGOs and organisation willing to become proactive actors within the framework of the Erasmus+ program came together. Hence, this occasion represented the opportunity to network with international no-profits, to meet with previous and current EVS volunteers based in Trieste, to receive useful information related to the accreditation process and the role of the sending, hosting and coordinating organisations. Last but not least, the first part of the event ended with the presentation of the role, vision and objectives of the Local Democracy Agency along with past expectations and ongoing experience of the volunteers carrying out the A.C.T.I.O.N project. Similarly, the Trieste based volunteers had the chance to present themselves and to share with the participants their enthusiastic feedback about youth mobility projects and Erasmus+ opportunities. The second part of the Info Day involved workshops concerning the procedure of accreditation and how to make outstanding projects. In conclusion, this event represented a further opportunity for the LDA to strengthen the awareness of its local, regional, national and international actions as well as widening its network and connections by providing the current volunteers with the unique opportunity to compare their experience with others who are also taking part in the EVS abroad.
